After the roka and thaka ceremony and spending some time with each other they sat in the garden of Mahajan mansion around a bonfire. They sat there talking teasing and pulling each others legs in short enjoying to the fullest.

Moran were sitting beside each other enterwining their fingers . Others were not able to see it as it was hidden under Monami's dupatta. Beside monami sat sidsa and having no other option Koel sat with Faizi beside karan and Baby was in Karan's lap .Parkha sat in front of them and Juhi and Deepak sat in front of Monami' beside Param and sooraj - suhana sat beside Barkha and in front of karan .

Their chitchat was interrupted by Karan's ringing of phone. He excused himself and went to a side , making baby sit in Monami's lap. Though Monami was talking to others but her eyes were only on karan.

Karan : Jai hind sir....Special Agent Karan Shergil reporting.

Batra : Jai hind Karan.....ek mission hai tum aur tumhari team report me immediately.

Karan : yes sir ....we will be there by tomorrow.

Batra : Karan Suhana ji ko bata dena ki mission dangerous nhi hai.

Karan : OK sir......Jai hind .

With these he cut the call and went to others.

Karan : ....wo ek mission hai ....mujhe aur meri team ko kal report karna hai batra sir ko .

His team asked him in gesture and he ensured them . When he turned to his mother she was looking a little afraid. He went in front of her and knelt down cupping her cheeks.

Karan : maa aap dariye mat ....koi dangerous mission nhi hai....hame kal sirf report karna hai aur kuch nhi.

Param : Ha maa waise bhi department ise yuhi Ulti Khopri nhi kehta.....aur agar koi dangerous mission hua bhi to ye aasani se complete kar lega .

After assuring her karan went back to his place and started playing with baby. He again took baby back and enterwined his fingers with Monami. He was making soothing circle on her hands with his thumb.

As night was getting chilly they moved inside the house . As sidsa 's room was fixed they went directly to their room. The elders went to the respective room on ground floor. As Koel used to come for night stays so she also had a room . Now she showed Faizi the room which was adjacent to koel's. Then she asked karan to come with her to her room .

After reaching the room she locked the door and took him to the balcony and sat there.

Karan : Nice setting.....ye ek alag hi peaceful aur soothing vibes de raha hai.

Monu : Ha ye mera favourite place hai....aapko pata hai jab bhi main sad hoti hu ya mujhe peace chahiye hoti hai to main yaha aakar stargazing karti hu....it soothes me.

Karan : Monami aapko mujhse kuch puchna hai (she noded in no) kuch kehna hai ( again she noded in no) ....ok.

After a long silence Monami noticed that Karan is lost in his thoughts.

Monu : Karan....

Karan : hmmm.

Monu : kya soch rhe ho ?

Karan : kuch nhi.. ( not wanting to stress her)

She broke the hug and sat in front of him on her knees and cupped his face.

Monu : karan ab main face reader to hu nhi ki aapki khamoshi padh lu ....wo to aapko hi batana parega na...

Karan : aapse kisne kaha ki aap meri khamoshi nhi padh sakti......aapne to mere bina kahe hi jaan liya ki main kisi wajah se pareshan hu....aur yahi bahot hai mere liye.

Monu : Ab mene aapki khamoshi padh li na...ab aap batao aapko kya pareshan kar rha hai ..

Karan : Monami aaj jab maa ke aankho mein dar dekha na to mera man kiya main yahi rahu hamesha maa ke pass.......par I cannot back out from my duties towards my country...... sometimes I feel that I am not able to fulfill my duties as a son , brother, or baby's chachu......though they never complained but unka bhi to man karta hoga mere saath time spend karne ka.....even I am not sure I will be able to give you time, comfort or the happiness you deserve.....I just don't know (he said by sighing deeply)

Monu : karan itna sab nhi sochna hota.....maa ke aankho mein aapne dar dekha kyuki wo kabhi nhi chahengi ki unke baccho ko dard ho......meri mummy mujhe chota sa scratch lagne par bhi dar jaati hai to aap to fir bhi itne dangerous mission karte ho....infact jo mission koi nhi kar sakta wo aap aur aapki team karte ho....maa aur baaki family members ke liye aapka safe rehna , happy rehna matter karta hai...aap batao kya aap apni duty chorkar khush reh paoge..... (he noded in no)
.....aur sabse bari baat wo kabhi nhi chahenge ki aap apni duty neglect karo.....agar aap din mein sirf panch minutes bhi unke saath spend karenge na dil se to itna bhi bahot hai.......aur rahi baat hamari to Zindagi hum dono ko bitani hai to effort to donoko dalne honge.....zaroori nhi hai aap pura time apna saara kaam chhorkar mere pass raho...nhi agar hum saath na bhi ho to no problem but just a call for 2 minutes is enough for me....understood.

She said all this by cupping his face and drawing soothing circle with her thumb. Karan was just lost in her talks ....how easily she made him understand everything. Not able to express his feelings he hugged her tightly to which Monami too responded.

Karan : Thank you.....thank you...thank you Monami mujhe samajhne aur samjhane ke liye....mujhe samajh nhi aa raha tha main kisse ye saari baate share karu....sab bekar mein pareshan ho jate jai...isliye main unse kuch share nhi kar paata.

Monu : Karan thank you kehne ki zaroorat nhi hai...ab aapko jab bhi kuch share karna ho to yaad rakhiyega aapki ye personal diary hamesha hai aapke saath....Jo aapse baate bhi karegi aur daategi bhi ..

Karan : Ha main yaad rakhunga.

Monami broke the hug and  placed a soulful kiss on his cheeks as gesture of staying by his side forever.

Then karan made her seat comfortably in between his legs and took her in a backhug by resting his back on the wall. Monami leaned backwards so that her back is resting on his front.
Karan enterwined their fingers and kept in Monami's lap.

Monu : karan kal tumhe kitne baje report karna hai .

Karan : waise to koi time nhi diya sir ne ...par shaam tak report karne se accha hoga..

Monu : hmmm....ye sahi hai isse tum sab ko rest lene ka time bhi milega......(tightening her hold on is hand )apna dhyaan rakhna aur ye yaad rakhna koi hai yaha jo tumhara wait kar rha hai.

Karan : hmmm.i promise hum sab safely wapas aayenge.

After this none spoke a word and sat comfortably in silence. Later Monami realised that Karan 's hold on her hand was becoming loose so she tilted he head a little and saw that Karan had already slept in the hug . She raised herself a little and again kissed his cheeks wishing goodnight and slept peacefully in his arms.
